CLINIC FOUNDER

Dr. Steven S. English, originally from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, traveled around the world, and then completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology at Kent State University in 1980.  He then moved to northern California to attend the Pacific College of Naturopathic Medicine, before finally finding his chosen profession in chiropractic, graduating cum laude in 1985 from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West.  After perusing the entire country, Dr. English and his young family decided to make the cross-country sojourn again, this time settling in Charlotte, opening the first satellite clinic for Dr. Fletcher G. Keith, at the same location where he practices today.  He's thrilled to have Dr. Mike come in and transform the clinic to a state-of-the-art rehab, wellness and injury center, and excited to include other healing modalities, as well, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, sports rehabilitation, and other natural modalities.  Of course, Dr. English has continued to deepen his arsenal of healing tools for both diagnosis and treatment, with an emphasis on nutrition, and whole-person wellness, attending a variety of seminars and trainings.

Dr. Steve has now been in Charlotte for over 26 years.  His 4 amazing children are in various fields of helping heal the planet:  his oldest son, Kris, is an MD in Chicago, specializing in Pain Management and Rehab, with his wife, Karissa, a neurologist.  Jenna, 27, is in a Master's program at George Washington University in DC, where she will follow an environmental course of study, Lia, 24, is in a Master's program at USF in Tampa, FL, working on her master's in Athletic Training, and Ross, 23, is living in Peru, teaching English and surfing.

Outside of the clinic, he plays tennis, gardens avidly, and meditates.  He is also working with several worldwide organizations to grow awareness about global issues, such as social injustice and environmental degradation, and rainforest preservation, to the planet, through such organizations as Rainforest Action Network, the Pachamama Alliance, and the Sierra Club, among others.  His mission is to give his life fully--to his patients at the clinic, and to the global village.
